Lochlea

From the Lochlea distillery comes the second of four planned annual releases, Harvest Edition follows Lochlea Sowing Edition First Crop and combines a trio of cask maturations, for a gloriously fruit rich profile. A combination of Port casks, first-fill oloroso sherry casks, and first-fill bourbon barrels have certainly worked their magic here, in yet another stunning release from the young Lowlands-based distillery.

Tasting notes 

Nose: Syrupy flapjack, honeyed apples, and fresh pear with a touch of hay in the distance.

Palate: Summer berries and floral jam, with chocolate-dipped s'mores and drying herbs.

Finish: Maple granola, roasted almonds, vegetal malt, and vanilla.
